Finding the Most Complementary Light (Photographing Selfies, Friends, and Family)

As a professional photographer, whether the assignment was a fashion shoot, a wedding, or a corporate portrait, it has always been very important to have my clients look their best. Having them look their best was invaluable in pleasing them and gaining a reputation that would attract new clientele. Over the years, I have studied and put together a variety of photographic techniques designed to complement and bring forward ones most pleasing features. Expression and background is of course relevant in creating a good shot, but perhaps more important in creating a flattering portrait, is the right light. That soft radiant glowing light that gives you your best look. Professional photographers do their best to create that light in the studio with umbrellas and soft boxes, but even more beautiful light exists outdoors naturally. This course is about finding that light in natural settings so that you, your friends, and family can create and enjoy beautiful portraits.
