I believe this course would be interesting and beneficial not only to those photographers with conventional cameras, but also enthusiastic cell phone photographers.

There are many ways to define the art of composition. This course is about exploring them. Anyone who has experienced cropping a photograph or planning where the elements go in a work of art knows the satisfaction a pleasing composition can bring. You can enhance the expression of the idea or feeling you want to covey through its use.

Together we will view your images and examples of works of art dating back to the dawn of civilization on though today’s fast moving images. As we search through these images we will keep an eye out for interesting composition styles.

Photographers, painters, and film makers sculptures are all welcome to join the conversation.
